Why Are EPOXY54 Kits Different Prices?

Why Are EPOXY54 Kits Different Prices?

One of the most common questions we hear is:
“Why are some EPOXY54 kits priced differently than others?”

The answer is simple: different engines and applications require different amounts of epoxy.

Engine Size Matters

Every engine block has coolant jackets (the hollow spaces around the cylinders). When filling these areas with EPOXY54 — whether it’s a partial fill, a dry block, or a full fill — the volume of epoxy required depends on the engine’s design.

  • Inline-4 engines generally have smaller water jacket displacement, so they need less epoxy.

  • Larger engines, like V6 and V8s, have significantly more volume to fill, which means they require more epoxy.

Because bigger engines require more material, the kit sizes (and prices) reflect this difference.

Why V-Configured Engines Are Packaged Differently

If you’re working with a V6 or V8, there’s one more consideration:

  • “V” engines have two separate banks.

  • These banks can’t be filled at the same time — one side must be poured and cured before rotating the block and filling the other.

  • For this reason, EPOXY54 kits for V engines are shipped in two separate containers, ensuring you can properly apply each side without rushing.

Choosing the Right Kit

You don’t need to calculate volumes on your own — we’ve made it easy.

On our website, simply select your engine configuration (Inline 4, Inline 6, V6, V8, Flat engines, etc.) along with your cooling configuration (Partial Fill or Dry Block). The correct kit size and packaging will automatically be matched to your setup.

Our Promise

We design our kits to match real-world engine needs. Different prices don’t mean different quality — it simply reflects the amount of epoxy required for different engine sizes and configurations.

Whether you’re filling a small inline engine or reinforcing a large V8, you’ll always get the same high-performance epoxy tailored to your application.
