Peyton Tan is the founder of EPOXY54, the two-part block filler epoxy that gives open-deck aluminum engine blocks closed-deck strength without machining. Today he leads a team of three in British Columbia, Canada, that ships and supports EPOXY54 for builders around the world.

Why EPOXY54 exists

Peyton drives a 2009 BMW 335i with the N54 engine. When that engine was rebuilt for the third time, he knew something had to change within the block itself, because so many failures stemmed from the block.
The usual fix, a CSS block guard, was not only expensive but often added its own set of issues. So Peyton created EPOXY54 to solve the problem: closed-deck strength poured in at home, with no machining.
An 800 hp 335i on the N54 platform EPOXY54 was born on.
What EPOXY54 is built to do
- 21,000 psi compressive strength
- 1:1 thermal expansion with aluminum
- Closed-deck strength with no machining
- A DIY install in 5 steps, with a Partial Fill option that keeps stock cooling
