Short answer: a 599 conversion is worth it if you want to drive a gated V12 Ferrari. With only 30 factory manuals ever built, it’s the only realistic way for most people to get one.
The rarest manual Ferrari of its era
Ferrari built the 599 GTB Fiorano from 2006 to 2012 with a 6.0-litre V12. Almost every car got the F1 SuperFast automated manual. Only 30 were built with a 6-speed manual, and the 599 was the last V12 Ferrari offered with one.
That rarity shows in the prices. Hagerty’s Price Guide adds about $150,000 for a manual 599, and a manual car sold for $880,000 at Monterey in 2022.
What converted 599s sell for
Converted 599s have an established market. CLASSIC.COM’s market benchmark for converted 599s is about $190,000 (November 2026), and recorded sales of converted cars from 2023 to 2025 reached as high as $238,000. Values depend on condition, mileage, spec and the quality of the conversion.
What a conversion costs
Our Ferrari 599 manual conversion kit is $24,490 USD with free shipping and duties included, or $33,990 USD installed in British Columbia. See the 599 cost breakdown for how that compares.
Why owners convert
A V12 with three pedals
A front-engined 6.0-litre V12 with a gated shifter and clutch pedal is something Ferrari stopped offering after the 599. A factory car costs several hundred thousand dollars more.
Choice of car
With only 30 factory manuals, you can’t shop for colour, spec or mileage. Converting lets you start with the F1 599 you actually want.
Who should convert
- Convert if you want a manual V12 Ferrari and can’t justify a factory manual car.
- Keep the F1 parts if you might want to return the car to original.
