1. The kit
A complete Gallardo kit needs a gated shifter and gate plate, a pedal box with clutch pedal, shift cables, clutch lines, the gearbox shift selector housing and linkage, and hardware. LP cars also need manual shift forks and rails. Our Gallardo kit includes all of it and is about 95% genuine OEM parts.
Sourcing parts one at a time is possible, but expensive and slow. One owner who documented his LP560 conversion on Lamborghini Talk said that exactly duplicating a factory manual car would mean buying a factory shifter assembly at about $15,000 and the manual-car wiring harness at about $4,000, before anything else. Most conversions, including ours, avoid that by using the right combination of parts.
2. Installation
- DIY: no labour cost if you have a lift, tools and experience. The pedal box and gearbox work are the hardest parts.
- Your local shop: get a fixed quote. Our free install support covers your installer too.
- EPOXY54 Kit + Install: the full job in British Columbia for $28,490 USD (Pre-LP) or $29,490 USD (LP). That’s $9,500 for installation.
3. Coding
The control units need coding for a manual gearbox after the conversion, typically with VCDS. Remote coding guidance is included free with our kit.
4. Extras to budget for
- Clutch: Hagerty puts an E-gear clutch replacement at $5,000 to $8,000. If yours is worn, replacing it during the conversion saves labour.
- Fluids: brake fluid for the clutch hydraulics and gearbox oil.
- Trim: optional steering column panels without paddle holes if you want a factory-look cabin.
Ways to save
- Wire transfer: save $400 USD on our kits. Email support@epoxy54.com for a wire invoice.
- Local pickup in BC: reserve your kit with a $1,000 USD deposit and pay the balance at pickup.
Conversion vs buying a factory manual Gallardo
Hagerty says manual Gallardos typically command about 50% more than E-gear cars. On a $110,000 E-gear car, that’s roughly $55,000, well above the cost of a conversion. Read more in Is a Gallardo manual conversion worth it?
