Is a Ferrari 360 Manual Conversion Worth It?

Ferrari 360 gated manual conversion kit

Short answer: yes. Manual 360s are worth much more than F1 cars, converted cars sell well above F1 values, and a conversion costs far less than the gap.

The factory manual premium

Ferrari built the 360 Modena and Spider from 1999 to 2005 with a choice of gated 6-speed manual or the F1 automated manual, and most buyers chose F1. Hagerty’s Price Guide values a manual 360 at one-third to 50% more than an F1 car.

What converted 360s sell for

CLASSIC.COM data for the 360 Modena (November 2026):

  • F1 Modena: about $85,000 average
  • Converted to manual: a 1999 Modena 6-speed conversion sold for $130,000 in August 2026
  • Factory manual Modena: about $154,000 average

That converted car sold for about $45,000 more than the average F1 Modena. Values depend on condition, mileage and conversion quality, so one sale doesn’t guarantee what your car will fetch.

What a conversion costs

Our Ferrari 360 manual conversion kit is $14,490 USD for LHD or RHD cars, with free shipping and duties included, or $23,990 USD installed in British Columbia. See the 360 cost breakdown for how other options compare.

Other reasons owners convert

The early F1 system

The 360 was one of Ferrari’s first mid-engine cars with F1 paddle shifting. Its F1 system uses a hydraulic pump, accumulator and actuators for shifting and clutch work, and many owners prefer the simpler mechanical feel of a gated manual.

The drive

A naturally aspirated V8 with an open gate and a clutch pedal is exactly what many people buy a 360 for.

Choose your car

Manual 360s are the minority, so shopping for one means compromising on colour, spec or condition. Converting lets you pick the best F1 car you can find.

Who should convert

  • Convert if you want the gated experience for far less than the price of a factory manual.
  • Keep your F1 parts in case you want to return the car to original.
