Which Ferrari F430s can be converted?
This kit is for the Ferrari F430 Berlinetta and Spider with the F1 gearbox, built from 2004 to 2009. Choose the left-hand drive (LHD) or right-hand drive (RHD) version when you order, because the pedal box and other parts differ between them.
Ferrari offered the F430 with either a 6-speed manual or the 6-speed F1 automated manual. The F1 car uses the same basic transaxle as the manual car. The conversion replaces the F1 shifting and clutch hardware with manual parts: clutch pedal, gated shifter, cables and linkage. You keep your gearbox; it isn’t replaced.

What’s in the F430 conversion kit?
The F430 kit is built around genuine Ferrari parts and includes:
- Gated 6-speed shifter with gate plate, shift knob and surround trim
- Clutch pedal
- Clutch master cylinder with hydraulic clutch line
- Shift cables from the shifter to the gearbox
- Gearbox shift selector housing and linkage
- Brackets and hardware
About 95% of the kit is genuine OEM parts. The other 5% are small pieces Ferrari no longer makes or sells, which we supply so the kit arrives complete.
Why convert an F1 F430 to manual?
A gated manual is the car most enthusiasts want
Only a small share of F430s left the factory with the gated manual, and the market pays for it. Hagerty says a factory-manual F430 can be worth about twice as much as an F1 car. For most buyers, converting a well-kept F1 car costs far less than finding a factory manual one.
What converted F430s sell for
Converted F430s hold their value. CLASSIC.COM sales data shows converted cars averaging about $205,000 across 16 sales, against about $136,000 for F1 coupes and $152,000 for F1 Spiders. Factory manual coupes average about $305,000 (November 2026).
Less F1 hardware doing the shifting
The F1 system uses a hydraulic pump, accumulator and actuators to change gear and work the clutch. After the conversion, your hand and left foot do that job. On the F430 the hydraulic pump also runs the E-Diff, so it is normally kept to retain the limited-slip function.
Installation options
Install it yourself or at your shop
The F430 conversion suits an experienced home mechanic or a Ferrari specialist. Around 40 hours of labour is a commonly reported figure for 360 and F430 conversions. Every kit comes with unlimited free install support until the conversion is done right.
Does the gearbox need to come out?
It depends on the clutch hydraulics. Keeping the F1-type clutch fluid lets the conversion be done with the gearbox in place. Switching the clutch to brake fluid means removing the gearbox to change the throw-out bearing seals, which is a good time to replace a worn clutch. We’ll talk through the right approach for your car before you order.
Coding
After the conversion, the engine ECUs and instrument cluster need to be set up for a manual gearbox, or the car will show F1 warning lights. Remote coding guidance is included free. Hands-on coding is quoted separately.

Ferrari F430 manual conversion FAQ
How much does it cost to convert a Ferrari F430 to manual?
Our kit is $15,490 USD with free shipping and duties included, or $24,990 USD installed in British Columbia.
Is there a kit for right-hand drive F430s?
Yes. Choose LHD or RHD when you order. The price is the same.
Will I lose the E-Diff?
No. The hydraulic pump that runs the E-Diff is normally kept, so the limited-slip function stays.
Do I need to remove the gearbox?
Not always. Keeping the F1-type clutch fluid lets the work be done with the gearbox in place. Converting the clutch to brake fluid needs the gearbox out to change the throw-out bearing seals.
Does a manual conversion add value to an F430?
Yes. CLASSIC.COM sales data shows converted F430s averaging about $205,000, against about $136,000 for F1 coupes and $152,000 for F1 Spiders.
How long does it take to get the kit?
Kits ship within 3 business days of your order and are typically delivered in 1–2 weeks. Local pickup in British Columbia is available with a $1,000 USD deposit.
